For a customer to remember a restaurant it needs to have something different, an extra-special quirk that will compel them to go back and also tell their friends all about it. Here are some great examples…  

Down a back street in the medieval city of Modena would be the last place you’d expect to find a restaurant, let alone one that serves high-end food. Yet, that’s the home of ‘Osteria Francescana’ an unexpected gold mine of Italian cuisine, with its 12 tables telling the story of Modena.

In the heart of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a restaurant called ‘D.O.M’, known for its delicious Brazilian cuisine, from the everyday to the totally bizarre.

They say that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, well this next restaurant is based in a former warehouse on the dockside in Copenhagen, Denmark; ‘Norma’ serves treasures of Nordic cuisine for your enjoyment.

Each of these fantastic restaurants is memorable in its own way, particularly because of the finesse, intrigue and quality of the entire eating experience. They’ve clearly, got a knack for doing things right as they’re all positioned in the top 5 of the Telegraph’s best restaurants in 2013.
