Every aspect of Eurest’s business starts with two people talking to one another. This is the philosophy of Regional Managing Director Morag Freathy. We caught up with her to find out more.
Morag Freathy is a powerhouse of energy, always ready for the next challenge or encounter. Supported by a team of three Operations Directors and 22 area managers she centres her role around human interaction, seeing that as the key to driving the Eurest business forward. “It’s all about people — winning new business, retaining what you’ve got and keeping customer satisfaction sky high — it all comes down to relationships and great people,” she says.
And relationships deliver the goods. Morag’s team has won some amazing new business this year: an indication of market confidence in Eurest and proof of how her team’s focus on people pays off.
It’s this focus on the human element that Morag credits with her success. “First you need to recruit and develop great people,” she explains. “This business is wholly reliant upon putting the right people in the right roles. Success is based on relationships, behaviours and customer service.”
This recipe for success flows through into an emphasis on keeping your word. “We make promises every day to our people, our customers and our clients and we need to deliver on them,” says Morag.
And Morag’s final ingredient? “You have to feel the love,” she laughs. “Love for food and love for our customers. It makes it all worthwhile.”
Morag will be taking us with her on her travels, contributing some articles about great food and local presence, coming soon.
